Who developed ProSTUD Drywall Framing?

ProSTUD Drywall Framing was a technical collaboration between the engineers and technical resources at ClarkWestern Building Systems and Dietrich Metal Framing.

Why introduce ProSTUD Drywall Framing?

Since the launch of UltraSTEEL™ in 2006, we have learned a great deal more about "Equivalent” stud technology. ProSTUD was the logical step toward the next generation of drywall framing technology.

Will ProSTUD Drywall Framing be available nationwide?

Yes, all ClarkWestern Building Systems manufacturing facilities will produce ProSTUD Drywall Framing.

When will ProSTUD Drywall Framing be available?

The first manufacturing facility conversion will take place in the 4th quarter of 2009, with the entire conversion process taking approximately six to eight months. See ClarkWestern's ProSTUD Rollout Schedule for up-to-date product availability information.

Can ProSTUD Drywall Framing be mixed with UltraSTEEL?

Yes, the ProSTUD Drywall Framing studs and track are fully interchangeable with UltraSTEEL components and will still achieve UL fire ratings (specific tested assemblies must be supplied as specified).

Is ProSTUD Drywall Framing code compliant?

ProSTUD Drywall Framing will meet or exceed all local building codes and is thoroughly UL fire tested.
