ClarkWestern Wins 2007 AWCI Excellence in Construction Award

April 2007 - The recently built Irving Elementary School in Sioux City, Iowa is no ordinary building.  When you learn that it replaced a school built in 1886, the year Geronimo was captured, it becomes even more noteworthy.  Families and educators had been challenged for years by overcrowded and outdated buildings.  Now, they have high hopes that Irving Elementary and other new and remodeled schools in the district will make a positive difference in the quality of education being offered to every student.  Young people in this inner city neighborhood now enjoy a large, modern library, multi-purpose room, air conditioning, full sized gym and welcoming spaces for family and community activities.

ClarkWestern had the opportunity to be a big part of these improvements by providing the steel studs for the project.  The AWCI (Association of the Wall & Ceiling Industry) presents Excellence in Construction Quality Awards each year, and CW was honored along with JARCO and L&L Builders, the General Contractor for its contribution to Irving Elementary.
